  1. Determination of the optimal composition / dosage of pheromone components ⇒ investigation of repellent effects.

  2. Interference / prevention of Varroa mating in laboratory tests by overdosing pheromones or repellent substances.

  3. Examination of chemical characteristics of the substances that tested positive (IS Insect Services GmbH).

  4. Determine optimal application technologies (IS Insect Services GmbH).

  5. Investigate possible adverse reactions for bees.

  6. Interference / prevention of Varroa mating in especially treated host bee brood cells within the bee colony.

  7. Application of sex pheromones or repellents in micro-colonies in the field.

  8. Testing sex pheromones or repellents in commercial colonies in the field.
